Inside Scoop Brings Back Lokal Legends 2025: Six Bold Flavours for Merdeka

What’s better than ice cream? Ice cream that tastes like childhood, balik kampung trips, and weekends at the movies.

This Merdeka, Malaysia’s favourite homegrown ice cream brand, Inside Scoop, is back with the second edition of Lokal Legends. A collection of bold, nostalgic flavours co-created with six other iconic Malaysian brands. Think: Twiggies, GSC popcorn, Julie’s crackers, Beryl’s chocolate, ZUS Coffee, and Farm Fresh. Basically, all your favourite snacks and drinks… but churned into ice cream.

Launched in 2023 to overwhelming response, Lokal Legends was all about transforming the flavours Malaysians grew up with into creamy, handcrafted scoops. And now, for Merdeka 2025, the line-up is even bolder, creamier, and more kaw.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

 Gardenia’s Twiggies Choc-A-Lot : Chocolate ice cream loaded with chunks of Twiggies. It’s literally like scooping your recess-time snack out of the freezer.

 GSC’s Caramel Popcorn : Creamy popcorn ice cream swirled with salted caramel and crunchy buttered pecans. Movie nights at GSC, but make it ice cream.

 Julie’s Le-mond Lemon : Tangy lemon ice cream with Julie’s Le-mond crackers and citrus curd. Fresh, zesty, and a total sunshine scoop.

 Beryl’s Gula Melaka Chocolate : Rich chocolate meets gula melaka, with chocolate shards and buttery crumble. It’s indulgence with a Malaysian soul.

 ZUS Coffee’s Spanish Latté : Espresso-infused milk ice cream with condensed milk and crunchy chocolate-coated cones. Like your ZUS fix, but colder (and way more scoopable).

 Farm Fresh’s Choco Malt Kaw : A leveled-up version of last year’s hit, now even kaw-er. Expect fudgy chocolate swirls and crunchy choco malt soil that bring back those Milo ais vibes.
