The Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT) is set to bring one of its biggest events to date to Malaysia with the APPT Aims Padel Revolution Open Kuala Lumpur, taking place from 19–21 June 2026 at Padel Revolution, Kuala Lumpur.
Marking APPT’s first tournament in Kuala Lumpur this year, the event has already achieved a significant milestone, attracting a confirmed field of 165 teams following the close of registration. The impressive turnout makes it one of the largest tournaments in APPT history and underscores the rapid growth of competitive padel in Malaysia and across the Asia Pacific region.
Competitors will battle for a USD 6,500 prize pool in the professional draw, while amateur players will compete for more than USD 8,500 worth of merchandise prizes, creating opportunities for athletes across all levels to showcase their skills on one of the region’s premier competitive stages.

As one of the fastest-growing padel markets in Asia Pacific, Kuala Lumpur provides the ideal backdrop for a major APPT tournament. The KL Open offers Malaysian players the opportunity to compete against top regional and international talent on home courts, while local fans can witness high-level padel action firsthand.
Adding to the excitement, the tournament’s defending champion will return to Kuala Lumpur to defend the title against a strong field of challengers eager to climb the APPT rankings and claim one of the Tour’s most prestigious trophies.
Beyond the competition itself, the event represents a major step forward in APPT’s commitment to grassroots growth and community engagement. With AIMS Club joining as title sponsor, the Tour continues its strategy of working closely with local clubs, facilities, and stakeholders to expand participation and increase awareness of padel throughout Malaysia.
This collaborative approach reflects APPT’s broader vision of developing the sport from the ground up while creating meaningful pathways for players to progress from recreational competition to the professional circuit.

As an official APPT Open tournament, all match results will contribute to the APPT Tour Standings, giving both professional and amateur players the opportunity to earn valuable ranking points.
Every result will be recorded and published on the APPT Leaderboard, providing players with regional exposure and helping shape the competitive landscape of padel across Asia Pacific.
A key highlight of this year’s tournament is the introduction of the Amateur B category, making its Kuala Lumpur debut and opening the competition to a broader range of players across varying experience levels.
The expanded tournament structure creates additional pathways for participation, allowing more players to experience APPT competition while contributing to the continued growth of the sport. Amateur competitors will compete for a share of more than USD 8,700 in merchandise prizes, with all results published on the APPT Amateur Leaderboard.
With record participation, increased community involvement, and valuable ranking opportunities on offer, the APPT Aims Padel Revolution Open Kuala Lumpur is poised to become a landmark event for Malaysian padel and another significant chapter in the sport’s expansion throughout the Asia Pacific region.
