PJ COMEDY FEST 2026 COMEDY : A First Ever Malaysia’s Multi-Language Comedy Festival

Get ready for five nights of non-stop laughter! DeStage @ Jaya One and KAM Productions proudly present PJ Comedy Fest 2026 — a first-of-its-kind multi-language, multi-genre comedy festival. 🎤 Across two performance spaces — the Studio and Main Hall — audiences can expect everything from stand-up and improv to gala shows, storytelling, and even a teen theater production.

Now in its inaugural edition, PJ Comedy Fest proudly showcases the richness of Malaysia’s comedic landscape by presenting performances in English, Malay, Chinese, and Tamil — making it a truly inclusive cultural celebration. The festival brings together a powerhouse line-up of Malaysia’s finest comedians, including Joanne Kam, Kavin Jay, Shamaine Othman, Andrew Netto, Rizal Van Geyzel, Farid Azmeir, K-Shao, Jasmine Rajah, Brian Tan, Prakash Daniel, Keren Bala Devan, and the Pinball Monkeys improv troupe.

On Sunday 2nd August we will have a teen theatre showcase by EM Drama Production : A Rendition of Midsummer Night’s Dream that will be suitable for years 7 & above including adults. Showtime is 11am & 3pm.

As curator and Festival Director, Joanne Kam under Kam Productions brings her signature passion, experience and vision to PJ. A pioneering force in Malaysian comedy, she has curated a line up of dynamic established stars and emerging talents, creating a festival that celebrates diverse voices, bold humour, and the vibrant spirit of live comedy. Through her leadership, PJ Comedy Festival aims to make Petaling Jaya a place where laughter truly lives.
