This January, Kuala Lumpur will be buzzing with creativity, ambition, and pride as Malaysia Brand Day makes its grand debut at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 8–10 January 2026. More than just an event, it’s a national movement—one that celebrates the spirit of Malaysian entrepreneurship, the artistry behind homegrown brands, and the bold ambitions of the nation’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Backed by the Prime Minister’s Office and a coalition of ten key ministries and government agencies, Malaysia Brand Day aims to shine a spotlight on local excellence, strengthen consumer confidence in Malaysian products, and open new avenues for businesses to expand—both at home and abroad.

Over three immersive days, more than 50 brands from 16 industries will showcase their innovation and creativity through curated exhibitions, leadership dialogues, panel discussions, business matching, and hands-on workshops. Among the standout participants are ZUS Coffee (Official Beverage Partner), A Cut Above, Applecrumby, Eu Yan Sang, BloomThis, Carlo Rino, Ogawa, Fire Fighter, and EE Clinic—all embodying the diverse talent and ingenuity thriving in Malaysia today

Malaysia Brand Day is about more than an exhibition—it’s a long-term strategy to grow our economy by supporting our homegrown brands,” says Eden Yap, Organising Chairman of Malaysia Brand Day. “SMEs contribute around 40% of Malaysia’s GDP, and their workers make up nearly half of our workforce. This platform connects brands directly with buyers, investors, policymakers, and global markets, creating real opportunities for growth across industries.”

For Datin Winnie Loo, President of the Branding Association of Malaysia, the initiative is a chance to champion the stories behind Malaysia’s most promising brands. “Homegrown brands represent our creativity, resilience, and ambition. Malaysia Brand Day provides a stage for them to shine, while building consumer trust and industry connections,” she shares.

The event is fully supported by major players in Malaysia’s economic landscape, including MITI, KUSKOP, KPK, MATRADE, MyIPO, SME Corp, and TalentCorp, reinforcing its alignment with the Madani Economy Framework, which champions competitiveness, inclusion, and shared economic growth.

But Malaysia Brand Day isn’t just about business—it’s about storytelling, inspiration, and pride. From brands that started in humble kitchens and garages to those now competing regionally, the event will highlight journeys of innovation, perseverance, and bold ambition. These stories are a reminder that Malaysian brands are not just local heroes—they are global contenders.

By encouraging consumers to “buy local” and creating direct access to investors and markets, Malaysia Brand Day aims to empower SMEs, elevate national branding, and enhance Malaysia’s global profile. The launch of this initiative marks the beginning of a multi-year effort to celebrate and amplify Malaysian excellence, proving that creativity, innovation, and resilience are truly at the heart of the nation.

As Malaysia Brand Day opens its doors, one thing is clear: the future is Malaysian, and it’s brilliantly bold.
