Warner Music Fest 2024: Celebrating 11 Years of Uniting Malaysia’s Music Scene

Warner Music Malaysia (WMM) is thrilled to announce the return of Warner Music Fest 2024, marking its 11th year with a dynamic tour across eight universities in Malaysia. This year’s festival promises an electrifying series of live performances from the country’s top music talents, with a significant milestone: Warner Music Fest will make its first appearances in Sabah and Sarawak.

A fresh addition to this year’s lineup is Perfume Paradise as the title sponsor. Known for luxurious fragrances at affordable prices, Perfume Paradise has become a celebrated Malaysian brand, especially among younger audiences. The partnership with WMM reflects a shared commitment to nurturing emerging talent in the Malaysian music industry, amplifying Warner Music Fest’s mission to connect music with youth culture.

Launched in 2012, Warner Music Fest has become a staple for university students, providing a rare opportunity to see top artists perform live on campus. Following a two-year pause due to the pandemic, the festival resumed in 2022 and continues its tradition of championing local talent. Starting from Kuching, Sarawak, on November 3, the festival will journey through Melaka, Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Perak, and Sabah, before concluding in Batu Pahat, Johor, on December 10.

Warner Music Malaysia’s Vision for 2024

At a press conference held at The Majapahit @ Arcoris, Dinesh Ratnam, Managing Director of Warner Music Malaysia and Singapore, spoke about the tour’s significance:

“At Warner Music Malaysia, we have always been committed to nurturing and showcasing local talent. The Warner Music Fest 2024 represents more than just music; it embodies the essence of community, creativity, and the incredible talent that Malaysia has to offer.”

He added, “This annual university tour is something students eagerly anticipate. Each year, we receive an overwhelmingly positive response. We want to bring music directly to the people who inspire so much of it—our youth. This is one of our ways of connecting the local music scene with the younger generation and fostering a vibrant music culture in Malaysia.”

The festival lineup promises a memorable experience, featuring celebrated artists such as Amsyar Leee, Bunga, Dinda Dania, Luqman Podolski, Rizal Rasid, Syamel, TUJU, Wani Kayrie, Zynakal, and more. Fans can look forward to each artist’s distinct style and popular hits, creating unforgettable live performances.

Exclusive Experiences for University Students

In addition to high-energy performances, university attendees can participate in on-ground activities, including exclusive meet-and-greet sessions with their favorite artists, offering a unique opportunity to interact personally with some of Malaysia’s biggest names in music.

Ratnam also expressed gratitude for the numerous brands making this tour possible. Perfume Paradise leads as the title sponsor, supported by CelcomDigi as the official telco partner, Tao Kae Noi as the official snacks provider, Buz App as the communication partner, and GRAB as the e-hailing partner. This year, Hot FM joins as the official radio partner, broadening the festival’s reach through nationwide coverage.
