What does it take to keep a centuries-old craft tradition alive in a rapidly changing world?

For Tanoti, the answer goes beyond simply preserving weaving techniques. Founded in Kuching in 2012, the Sarawakian social enterprise has spent the last 14 years working alongside indigenous artisans, particularly women in rural and remote communities, to keep traditional skills alive while creating sustainable livelihoods.

Today, Tanoti works with more than 800 artisans across 25 communities in Sarawak, bringing their craftsmanship into contemporary fashion, interiors and lifestyle products, while making sure the people and stories behind each piece remain part of the conversation.

And now, Tanoti is taking that story to Kuala Lumpur.

From its ISETAN KLCC pop-up and KL Fashion Week showcase to its upcoming flagship at 118 Mall, this is a significant new chapter for the organisation and an opportunity to introduce more Malaysians to the richness of Sarawakian craft.
