It all started with the dream of becoming a radio deejay at the age of 10. Being heavily influenced by the shock jocks of that era and his family members, Johel D’silva aka DJ Marshmallow began his humble journey as a broadcast deejay at the young age of 16. Doing this part time during the weekends of his school holidays, he showcased his knowledge on music and developed a knack of reading people. Gradually, he began hosting events as he was blessed with the gift of the gab. Not forgetting his love for music, he began learning to deejay professionally at 21 and picked up the art at a very fast pace. Being surrounded by veterans in the industry and considered as the baby of the group, he was grilled hard on the fundamentals but given the room to grow in his own way.
