Dawn to Dusk: The Rose Live in Kuala Lumpur 2024 – Unveiling the Sounds of K-indie
The highly acclaimed South Korean indie rock quartet, The Rose, is making a long-awaited return to Malaysia, courtesy of Lo-Fi Entertainment. The Rose Dawn to Dusk Tour in Kuala Lumpur 2024 is set to electrify Mega Star Arena, KL on January 31st at 8:30 pm, marking one of the rare Southeast Asian stops on their global tour.
Comprising vocalist and guitarist Kim Woosung, keyboardist and vocalist Park Dojoon, drummer Lee Hajoon, and bassist Lee Jaehyeong, The Rose originated from the bustling busking scene in Seoul. Under their independent label Windfall in collaboration with Transparent Arts, the band is renowned for their emotionally charged English and Korean tracks, including hits like “Back to Me,” “Red,” “She’s in the Rain,” and their debut single “Sorry.”

Noteworthy as both a collective and individually, each member has left their mark in the industry. Woosung collaborated with the late Ryuichi Sakamoto on a track by Agust D (Suga of BTS) and voiced a character in an animated series led by Ali Wong. Meanwhile, Dojoon, Hajoon, and Jaehyeong have made appearances in K-dramas and web series.
The Rose’s global recognition extends to performances at prestigious events such as Lollapalooza in Chicago, Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and BST Hyde Park in England. In 2022, they earned the title of Band of the Year at Brazil’s Prêmio Annual K4US.
With two studio albums, Heal and Dual, along with EPs Void and Dawn, and singles like “Red,” The Rose has consistently left an indelible mark on global music charts.
